This 1962 CJ-5 Jeep also known as P10-3, was at the fire station when I started my volunteer firefighter service in 1995. It was used on my property in 1996 during the Bowie Rd fire to dig a fire line through the trees. Sometime during 1996 the Jeep was sold to Fire Dist 4. In March of 2024 the Jeep was put up for auction at Reinland Auto Auction.
I happened to be looking at their website when this little red Jeep caught my eye. My son and I went to check it out. To my surprise it was the same Jeep, painted red, our trucks at the time were all yellow. Yellow paint was found under the hood and other places. Seats, soft top, plow on back, everything the same.

First day of bidding I put a bid in. Continued to watch daily until the final minutes. Put in one more bid and within a minute my little Jeep was coming home to stay. I was soooo excited tears were rolling down, called my son, we are are picking up a Jeep.

As far as I know this CJ-5 has almost all original parts, runs great, everything works and only 17,000+ miles. It’s 62 years old and going strong.
