I’ve owned Nellie Belle since 1992 and Kaiser Willys keeps her running and looking good! When I bought the car the man assured me it had 50,000 miles on it. I found business cards for a typewriter repairman in the glove box. Everett Jameson, 10 Richard St., Cranston, RI. I called the number on the business cards and got Mr. Jameson’s widow. She said he bought it used in 1950 and drove it until he died earlier that year 1992. She said the car had been driven from RI to Canada, Seattle, Grand Canyon, Mexico etc… I said, “HOW CAN IT HAVE 50,000 miles?” – She said, “That’s 250,000 miles!” Here’s a photo of it hauling Miss Taunton (MA) Lyndsey Littlefield who went on to be Miss Massachusetts , Mrs. Jameson driving the car, and Nellie Belle parked in Taunton with Bristol County Superior Court House in background. ALSO: I found a newsletter from Willys Overland Jeepster Club in the glove box, joined the club. Have belonged for 32 years and I’m current president…. I did a lot of business with your founder Ron Meditz back in the day…
