Big Cheezy food truck, based in Baton Rouge, opened a restaurant at Louisiana State University. The restaurant will offer melts and grilled cheeses, according to a report by 225 Baton Rouge.
Big Cheezy has two food trucks, of which the Tigerland one will take a hiatus while the other will be available for special events and catering.
Owner Blaize Romancik said he selected the restaurant’s location based on its proximity to the LUS campus. He also applied for a liquor license to be able to sell beer and seltzers.
« I wanted our first location to be around LSU, » Romanik said in the report. « I wanted to thank the students for treating us so well in Tigerland and have our first location here. … I like to say we have LSU in a chokehold with us over here and in Tigerland. »
