Let me introduce you to “Sgt Dan”. My wife purchased my 63 CJ-5 in 2019 for my 50th birthday. I started my restoration with an engine rebuild on the original F134 Hurricane, new tires, seat frames, wiring harness and cushions as the important projects. Now slowly working on smaller projects like wipers, hood latches, dash, and windshield hinges. I added the 1943 Bantam T3 1/4 ton trailer in the fall of 2020 to haul tailgating gear for car shows. As a 26 year veteran of the Air Force the body and paint will be the final part of the project and will be converted to Air Force blue in honor of my father “Sgt Dan” who served 22 years including a tour in Vietnam where the agent orange caught up with him later in life and took him sooner than he should have gone.
