The “Captain” (Scott Montefusco) & “Alice,” a hybrid MB/CJ-3A Willys, revitalized with the help and
sponsorship of Kaiser Willys Auto Supply, will roll into history on May 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2024 as he

The general public, especially Willys Jeep owners and enthusiasts, are encouraged to register for the official Rt. 66 Fun Run, and further, to join Captain Scott in his Alice on The Mother Road Willys Jeep convoy, which will participate in the greater event held by the Historic Rt. 66 Association.
The Backstory: In 2023, Captain Scott Montefusco, a retired veteran and FBI agent, raised money through his nonprofit GartforVets.org (the Great American Road Trip for Veterans) in support of veterans and those in uniform, which resulted in a significant fundraising campaign honor military and first responders and their families great sacrifice for the country.

The mission of this year’s adventure remains the same. Did you know? Captain Scott’s efforts and participation in the annual, historic Rt. 66 event and convoy are specially dedicated to Alice Ramsey, the first woman to drive across the country in a Maxwell vehicle with her girl gang in 1909. Alice, a 22-year-old mother from Hackensack, New Jersey, made the monumental trip along with three of her female friends, driving 3,800 miles in total. (Sources: Hagerty, Smithsonian)

As a follow-up to the Great American Road Trip for Military, Veterans, and First Responders – Captain Scott Montefusco, with the help of Kaiser Willys, will once again honor those who serve while taking a step back into history by participating in the annual Rt. 66 Kingman, Arizona event. This time the Captain will take to the “Mother Road” himself in a vintage 1950 Willys MB/CJ-3A hybrid Jeep that he has owned for the past 32 years, appropriately named “Alice”. Since Captain Scott’s GART for Vets trip from the Golden Gate to NYC, he’s honored the Mother Road / Route 66 venture in tribute to Alice Ramsey, the first woman to drive across America.
