This 1945 Willys MB was given to me as a tub on frame with a 289 Ford mounted in it. It was given to me by my cousin and his Grandpa, my Great Uncle who was a WWII army driver. After the war he restored cars (model “A”s) up until about 15 years ago when he decided to restore Willys Jeeps like the ones he drove in WWII. He did 2 full military spec Jeeps and started on the “hot rod” Jeep he gave me. He finally got to the point where he needed to move from the place he restored all of his cars and couldn’t work on them anymore so he gave it to me.
Through Covid I did the entire frame-off restoration and my students and I built the roll cage in my Ag Mechanics class. It was so awesome to see my Uncle Donald’s face light up when he saw the completed project and he still loves to see it every-time to this day!
