Hawaii state officials shut down the Dick’s Lechon food truck for not having an approved support kitchen. The Hawaii Department of Health discovered that the food was being prepared at a home kitchen instead of a support kitchen in the truck, which was under construction, according to a report by Star Advertiser
It is not permitted to make food at a home kitchen by the state and the food truck will remain closed until an approved support kitchen is finished, according to a report. Officials will do a follow-up inspection once it is complete.
Dick’s Lechon serves a variety of a dishes such as lechon bely, lechon fried rice, pancit and pork chops.
