Restaurant Franchising and Innovation Summit attendees will work together for one hour to create over 2,000 hygiene kits stocked with necessities including, toothbrushes, hand sanitizers, water, snacks, tissues and feminine products for survivors of human trafficking.
Kicking off the Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit, March 24-26, in Kansas City is a Community Giveback party to benefit Relentless Pursuit Outreach and Recovery, a Kansas City organization striving to heal and restore survivors, bring justice to offenders and educate others on prevention and awareness to end the exploitation of human beings.
Hosted by Networld Media Group and Kansas City-based SMG, the party (March 24) allows attendees to work together for one hour to create over 2,000 hygiene kits stocked with necessities including, toothbrushes, hand sanitizers, water, snacks, tissues and feminine products for survivors of human trafficking.
« The women that come to the drop-in center often come in with nothing but the clothes on their backs, » said Stephanie Wiley, the director of RPOR. « These bags will provide the daily necessities needed once they leave. »
Cansler said she was grateful to have so many donations from Kansas City companies — C3, Saint Luke’s Women’s Health North, SMG, Longboards, Westside Family Church and Corinth Dental — to name a few.
« We are honored to support Relentless Pursuit Outreach and Recovery in their efforts to combat human trafficking, » of SMG. « It is important for SMG to sponsor the party and support this KC-based organization because their cause aligns perfectly with our values as a company committed to making a positive impact on our community. SMG is proud to stand alongside this incredible organization in its relentless pursuit of justice and hope. »
« We are grateful to SMG and appreciate the support we’ve also gained from national brands, such as Coke, Pepsi, Mo’Bettahs and Vpromos, » Cansler said. « This experience wouldn’t be possible without their support. »
