Honda have unveiled the Honda 0 Series, a new EV series launching globally in 2026, with two radical concept cars at this years CES 2024. The Saloon and Space-Hub both symbolize how the Japanese marque is undergoing a major transformation in line with its Global Brand Slogan and electrification policy. The series name represents Honda’s determination to develop a new EV series by going back to its starting point as an automaker and creating completely new EVs from “zero.”
The first model of the Honda 0 Series will be introduced globally in 2026, starting in North America, then to Japan, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East and South America.
Comprising the sleek, sweeping design of the Saloon concept and the altogether more practical (yet equally striking) Space-Hub, the pair of EVs will run on an all-new architecture that Honda believes bucks the trend of modern electric cars being “thick and heavy”.
Bucking the trend for heavy EVs, Honda says its upcoming electric offerings will be “Thin, light and wise.” With the low roof height design of both concepts and lighter, more compact battery technology (with fast charging capabilities) making them more streamlined than most EVs.
Full technical details are still under wraps, but Honda has said the Saloon will feature an intelligent instrument panel with a human-machine interface. Posture control and a motion management system will be added thanks to a portion of Honda’s budget going towards robotics.
