When you are one of the only 125 customers who were able to buy a Koenigsegg Jesko at a base price of $3,000,000 I’m guessing you aren’t too worried about adding a few more options to this already very extreme hypercar, your first choice would be to go for either the Attack or the Absolut edition, as this already dramatically changes things around on this 5-Liter twin-turbo V8 powered beauty delivering 1,600 hp to the rear wheels through a 9-speed gearbox, in Attack guise the Jesko is intended more as a track weapon with additional downforce from the deep front splitter and massive rear wing that is fitted, however, if you want all-out top speed performance you will opt for the Absolut version that is capable of a theoretical top speed of 300 mph (480 km/h) thanks to the absence of a rear wing which significantly decreases drag.
But that $3,000,000 price is before you start adding options to the Koenigsegg Jesko, and one of the most expensive options in the automotive world will set you back almost $500,000, the naked carbon fiber body option, but the extremely impressive Koenigsegg Jesko Odin we’re talking about here comes with the ‘clear carbon fiber’ body where a glossy finish is applied to the visible fiber particles, which on its own is ‘just’ $300,000, but this one comes with another option requested by the owner, please add gold particles in the top coat for a truly mesmerizing look:
And to make the option list even longer, the owner had details on the exterior of his (or her) Koenigsegg Jesko Odin finished with real gold leaf, so I’m sure we’re talking of a total cost for the exterior options in excess of $500,000, but you know what they say: ‘if you have to ask the price …’
I guess the owner was inspired by a very special 2019 Koenigsegg Agera RS known as ‘Phoenix’, a car that was ordered by Manny Koshbin in the United States, and at the time it was the most expensive Agera RS ever made, with an MSRP of a rumored $2,200,000 in 2019, by 2021 he eventually sold it for $4,100,000 after lowering his asking price of $5,000,000, and I guess the buyer made a good investment as an Agera RS goes for anything between $5000,000 for a ‘regular’ one and up to $10,000,000 for the special ones.
And the gold leaf option wasn’t restricted to the exterior either, for the interior the car was ordered with Desiato Alcantara and additional gold stitching in the beautiful ‘Drift pattern’, naturally the Jesko logo has been embroidered with gold too and the climate control vents received beautiful gold trim to complete the look, just to make sure you get all the necessary information behind the wheel, this Jekso Absolut comes with the optional G-Force meter right in front of the driver, just in case …
It seems this car is chassis #7509 out of only 125 units, and on top of the gold flakes mixed into the clear coat over the visible carbon fiber, we are looking at the following options that come in a real gold leaf finish: the Slingshot stripe, the Apex Stripe, the Pebble Beach Stripes, the Engelholm fins, and naturally the large end plates on the massive rear wing that’s bespoke to the Absolut edition of the Koenigsegg Jesko, this specific car also comes with the optional AirCore wheels, carbon fiber wing mirrors, gold plated badges on the exterior and even gold center locks on the wheels.
The owner didn’t go for gold brake calipers but instead opted for a more subtle black caliper option with gold writing, you have to draw the line somewhere, right? But the fixing points for the carbon fiber rear view mirrors did get the ‘Midas touch’, so those are gold-finished anyway.
Koenigsegg unveiled the Jesko back in 2019 already, but the first customer cars didn’t get delivered until June 2023, four years later, and so far not all of the 125 cars have been built either, so there could still be another Jesko down the line that could beat the price of this 24-carat gold detailed beauty, which let’s not forget was designed and specced two years ago by British design house @lmm23design in partnership with the owner, they showed a first digital render of this car in early 2021.
I’m sure this will become a very famous car once it gets spotted on the streets or at an event, the Koenigsegg Jesko “Odin” has only very recently been delivered to Koenigsegg Spirits of Speed in Barcelona, Spain.
