IAAD. – Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design in collaboration with IVECO GROUP have launched a competition to award scholarships for the Bachelors course in Transportation Design, which will begin in October 2023.
The scholarships offered by the Turin-based University – dedicated to international students only (residents outside Italy) – are six in all and are characterized by different types of coverage: two with 50% coverage of Attendance fee and four covering 25% of Attendance fee.
The Enrollment Fee (€ 1,200) however remains compulsory.
The Deadline for submission is May 31, 2023.
PARTNERSHIP
This year, IAAD. is proud to collaborate with Iveco Group for the developing of the Bachelor class thesis project 2022/23.
At the same time, the next IAAD. students who are interested in attending the Bachelor in Transportation design, are challenged to imagine an IVECO vehicle to participate in the next Dakar Rally Raid with electric/ hydrogen propulsion.

“Dakar goes Electric…”
In 2021, the Dakar announced the launch of the energy transition programme called “Dakar Future”.
The aim of this collaboration IAAD. – IVECO is to highlight the next future together with young talents focusing on the Iveco Group claim: “On the road to a new energy future”.
What are we asking you to do?
You have been assigned to imagine an IVECO vehicle to participate in the new era of the Dakar Rally with electric/ hydrogen propulsion with three different layouts. You can choose only one proposal:
Draft/proposal n° 1: RACE
Race vehicle with 4 wheels, can be of any size.
Must be able to carry 3 people (2 drivers 1 technician), spare parts, 2 spare wheels.
Draft/proposal n° 2: ASSISTANCE & CHARGING
A support vehicle which can assist teams; it can be usable as a mobile workshop for emergency intervention as well as a charging service.
The idea will have to take a cue from the layout of a medium/heavy vehicle.
Draft/proposal n° 3: FIRST AID
A rescue vehicle provided to the organization, useful in case an accident.
It must be taken as a basic model Iveco Daily 4×4 Electric
In order to enter the contest, applicants must submit the application by filling-in the form attached to the contest official rules and sending it back with the project. The completed Entry Form can be submitted by e-mail to orientamento@iaad.it.
The jury will take into consideration originality, the variety of the design themes, the ability to visualize design solutions and the overall quality of the work submitted.
The submission deadline is May 31, 2023. The official announcement of the scholarship winners will be made the week after the deadline indicated.
The creators of the best projects will be interviewed by IAAD’s Guidance Office.
