River City Wood Fire Pizza, a food truck in Richmond, Virginia, has opened a brick-and-mortar location. Owner Joe Lajoie said he needed more space since its two trucks could not fit in a strip mall, according to a report by Richmond.com.
The restaurant is in the former location of Rosita’s Pizza in Powhatan. Lajoie and Caroline Carbia, chief of operations, renovated the space with a long wood bar and a Fiero Forni wood-fired pizza oven.
Some of its menu items include the Angry Zinkski with pepperoni, hot honey and chili flakes and the Churchill, a buffalo pizza with fire chicken wing sauce, bacon, chicken and cheese.
Lajoie and Carbia plan to expand the menu at the restaurant with salads and wood-fired sandwiches.
