Jeep Wrangler
I think I can answer this question with much more authority and accuracy than others. I own both and have had 3 Hummer H2’s and 2 Wranglers, a 2-door and now 4-door Rubicon.
If it’s a tight little trail with minimal clearance the Jeeps win. If it’s tough trail that requires lots of torque and shear power the Hummer wins. General driving, the Hummer wins, quieter, more comfortable, smoother and so forth.
As far as weight is concerned its traction that makes the difference here. After all an M1 tank weighs 73 tons but it will go places both the Jeep and Hummer could ever go so, so much for the weight theory.
Finally, yes you can still buy a brand-new Jeep today, but for that matter you can buy a new Hummer EV (even though that’s and electric POS, but so is the new Jeep 4xe)
The debate on who is best comes down to application. Neither are perfect nor check all the boxes; it’s what YOU’RE going to do with it that matters. Motor on!
